Political Fantasies: Necrocracy

Political Fantasies is a series that takes names for governments and plays around with them to see how far they can be pulled. In the tradition of Strange Nations, the results of each exploration can be dropped into your setting with little-to-no adaptation required. 

This volume explores necrocracy or "rule by the dead," with possibilities like restricting the vote to dead people (and how you might accomplish that, even without magic), cults ruling in the name of long-deceased kings, and mausoleum-cities. Each one makes some assumptions about the setting, like whether the presence of magic or the level of technology, but it won't take much work to make them more suitable for other settings.
